Mother's Day Shout Out

This was my little angel for the weekend. My dear friend Jade and her husband Ben went on their long over due honeymoon. This meant that Jay and I got their daughter Tonnelle for the weekend. It was great. However with Mother's Day happening on the same weekend it made me think a lot about moms. I realized what a sacrifice women make by having children. Don't get me wrong, I want kids, a lot of them. But I realized how hard it is being a mother. You don't get to sleep in whenever you want. You can't have a completely spotless house. It takes a lot longer to run errands. It's hard going to restraunts. You can't be spontaneous.
Thankfully I have a good husband. We were getting ready to go to his parents house and I had baby in hand and was walking out the door. He said "Don't you need a bottle?" Oh, right. Check. I can't just feed her Doritoes at your parents house. So we were off again. Baby and bottle in hand. Then he said, "Don't you need a diaper?" This is when I got upset. Not with him but with myself. I am supposed to be the responsible one. Why was a such a space case at this instance.
I don't know if I am ready to be a parent but then I hold a baby and my heart melts and I know I am ready, at least in a year I will be ready.

My Name

I found this site on someones blog. I am the only Camille Rigby in the United States (according to their website). I checked on my maiden name, Camille Croft and there are only 3 of us. I always knew I was a unique individual.

Date Night

My dearest friend Kristi and I have standing every other Thursday date night. It's called K and C date night. We had a fantabulous time last night. We hit Casa for lots of food, Hastings for a chick flick (Bed of Roses, much better 10 years ago) and then Chill Box (great new place in town) for Ferdinands ice cream! Thanks K, see ya in 2 weeks for the usual.

Seattle

We had a great weekend, last weekend... wow, I am really on top of things.

We were in Seattle visiting with Jay's family. We went to have one last hoo-rah with his older brother Andy, before Andy is deployed for a year. We went to the Woodland Zoo and it was a-mazing! There was a monkey actually picking his nose
and then eating it. It was so weird, I've heard they do that but never had I seen it before. We ate at wonderful restraunts and had some great family bonding time. Jay left on Sunday with his Dad and I stayed until Tuesday for some work meetings. The hotel I moved to was TINY, not small priced, small roomed. No joke, in order to use the bathroom I had to go into the shower, shut the door to the bathroom and then find the toilet. They called the room a "cozy queen" and they weren't kidding. I had a nice time though in downtown Seattle. It made me realize that I missed my husband and didn't like being in a big city by myself, which is weird since that is the life I once pictured.

Dear Mother Nature,
Can Mr. Sunshine come and play now? He has been grounded for so very long and I am beginning to miss him so very much.
Love,
Camille

Scrapbooking

A few months ago I made the goal to have our wedding scrapbooked before our one year anniversary. Well, since that is coming up in less than 2 months I figured I better get rollin' on it. I have done quite a bit and I think I will get it done. I enjoy scrapbooking but it's so messy! I take over our entire living room with stuff spread out everywhere. I prefer to clean the house and then read a good book while basking amongst the dust free tables and smell of lysol wipes (Jay banned me from chlorox). Before Greg even got home from his mission I had started on his mission scrapbook. That was more than 2 years ago and it's not done yet. I am such a slacker! I have all the time in the world to work on them. Jay works Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights so I don't even see him those days and I don't work at all on Friday's. I should be getting my butt in gear and finishing up some pages!

Success

The bridal shower was a success. We had a great turnout and thankfully the food all tasted great. I made super cute cake balls that were actually very tasty as well. They are the sticks that are in the flower pot to the left. We had a great time and played a fun memory gamewith candy bar prizes. If anyone is planning a bridal shower or baby shower and needs a game, let me know.

Bridal Shower

I'm throwing a bridal shower for my dear friend Morgan tonight. We were roommates for about a year before I got married and found a lifetime roommate. I might have gone a little overboard with the shower though. I spent all night baking and creating tons of goodies. My husband tells me I am crazy I tell him the word to use is eccentric. I feel bad for my sister-in-law Brittney though. I threw her a bridal shower and a baby shower (not at the same time though) and they were just alright. I feel like I am putting a lot more into this one. Sorry Britt! I will make it up to you at your next baby shower. Do you do baby showers for each baby or just the first? I don't know. Anyhow, I have a bridal shower tonight. I've gone overboard and might have stressed myself out. I'll let you know how it goes.

Work from Home

I would love to be able to work from home. I've heard of these companies that are getting their employees to work at home to save the ozone and all that jazz. Why can't my company do that? I can do everything I do here at home. Come in when there is an event and for meetings. Just rambling.
Anyone know anyone who needs a freelance marketer?
